I Walk, Not Stand Still in Terror, But Walk!

The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army;

He makes me as sure-footed as a deer, with speed,

and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk]

and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!

Habakkuk 3:19 AMPC/NLT

He is my Strength, my Boldness, my Courage, my Personal Bravery.

Because of His mighty working power in me, I will not be paralyzed by terror or trepidation.

The deer is seen by most people that are familiar with it as the very type and emblem of elasticity, springing ease, of light and abounding gracefulness, that clears every obstacle, and sweeps swiftly over hurdles.

These are the attributes that the writer has in mind as these words pour forth under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Consistent, nonstop communion with the Father, produces speed, acceleration, that spring in our step, our hearts and our lives that enables advancement in spite of the difficulties we encounter.

This is in contrast to the way in which most of us get through our daily obligations! Plod, plod, plod, in a heavy-footed, spiritless grind.

The Life of His Spirit brings about a cheerfulness and gladness that raises us up above the fluctuations and variations of material existence.

Keeping us in a state of victory and empowering us with supernatural solutions for every circumstance.

Father, by the power of your Holy Spirit, I will continue to Walk, not stand still in terror, but Walk and move forward in the direction of Your leading, in spite of the scale of any terror or obstacle or responsibility.

In the Almighty name of Jesus Christ.

Selah!
