I Will Guide You With My Eyes!

“I the Lord will teach you and instruct you in the way that you should go and I will guide you with my eyes.”

Psalms 32:8

Our Father, our God-King and our Shepherd, teaches and instructs us by the rightly divided, dissected and interpreted wisdom of His Word by His Spirit in us.

And He guides us with the secret intimations of his will, that inner witness of our inner man.

By His grace, He enables us to understand and take directions from these secret promptings of His will.

Just as a father makes a child know his mind by the look or motion of his eyes.

The idea is that of a father who is telling his child what way he is to take in order that he may reach a certain destination; and he says he will watch him, or will keep an eye upon him; he will not let the child go wrong.

In addition, He gives us the grace to set our affections and mind on things above, where Christ dwells as instructed in Colossians 3:1-2.

Lord, I receive your instructions for my life in Jesus Christ name. I receive your grace that enables me to understand your checks and secret intimations in my inner man and follow the direction of these checks in me as they align with your will for my life, in the name of my Christ. Amen 🙏🏽.
