Hebrews 1:1-3 TPT
‘Throughout our history God has spoken to our ancestors by his prophets in many different ways. The revelation he gave them was only a fragment at a time, building one truth upon another.
But to us living in these last days, God now speaks to us openly in the language of a Son, the appointed Heir of everything, for through him God created the panorama of all things and all time.
The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One. ‘
Jesus Christ is the language, essence and nature of God.
In the Old Testament, God communicated in different times in different parts through the Jewish forefathers across millennia.
That is to say that he revealed one piece and then another, like pieces of a puzzle, with one piece complementing the other.
He spoke to the Jewish ancestors by all methods and at any price or in every way, shape, and form.
That is, by sample and by example, God revealed his ways progressively, building on previous understandings, leading us into Christ’s fullness.
Today, we speak in English; God on the other hand speaks in “Son,” for Jesus is the language of God.
The Sonship of Jesus is the language He now uses to speak to us.
Jesus Christ is the language of God. Period.
Not dreams or visions or personal experiences or the likes.
Everything else is either incomplete or counterfeit.
The book of Revelation 19:13 calls Him: The Word of God. And God’s word is described as the witness of Jesus Christ according to Revelation 1:2 MSG or the testimony of Jesus Christ TPT. That is, documentation about Jesus Christ.
He is the central theme and figure of all scripture. What we call the Old Testament is Christ concealed and what we call the New Testament is Christ revealed.
In John 5:39 Jesus Christ further explains that all scripture points to Him and is all about Him. Yet they still refuse to come to Him to receive the life they seek, true life, eternal life in Him.
It is by the revelation of the Spirit of Christ in all who yield, that we receive illumination for scriptures through the lens of Christ.
We stay fixated on Him. We are obsessed with Him.
He is the Solution that indwells us.
By His exceedingly great power in us, we speak to every situation, and He aligns them to His will for us.
Whether we feel it or not.
He is our Lover-King. He’s sculpting, adjusting and sorting us out. In His way and His time.
Selah!
